Workshop Title: Sefton Economic Forum & Growth Hub Marketplace 

Date: Thursday 8th December 2022

Time: 8.15am- 12.00pm 

Location: The Lake House, Crosby Coastal Park, Waterloo, L22 1RR

InvestSefton have secured a diverse panel of speakers who will provide food for thought in their specialist areas.  Complimentary breakfast will be available from 8.15am and the Forum will start at 9.00am.  Following the Forum from 11am until 12pm businesses are invited to stay and browse our marketplace where we will showcase all of the business support available in the Liverpool City Region.

Free two-day workshop in digital media and marketing 

Training provider ‘Training Unlimited’ is offering free two-day workshops in both digital media and marketing to Liverpool city region businesses.

Fully funded by the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, the workshops are being delivered by training provider Training Unlimited. There is a quick process where firms are asked to register online and confirm their interest.

Both workshops last for two days. The digital media course offers an introductory understanding of how to use online digital platforms.

Free One Hour Webinar – Raising Awareness of Neurodiversity

Free one hour webinar for Liverpool City Region employers and organisations delivered by Knowsley Council and Liverpool Council to raise awareness of Learning Disabilities and Neurodiverse conditions including Autism, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Dyspraxia (Developmental Coordination Disorder)– see attached flyer for more information.

There are 60 places available which will be allocated on a first come / first served basis to those who register in advance.

Raising Awareness of Neurodiversity 25th November 2022 – Start time 11am – end time 12 noon

 

Course Title: Understanding Importing and Exporting – 3 day course

This three day, interactive course will provide all delegates with a good understanding of international trade with delegates learning the key information, processes and essential knowledge required to import and export goods successfully into and from the UK. The course is funded by the European Social Fund & Liverpool City Region Strategic Investment Fund.

Race Equality Hub- 

The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority are currently developing a Liverpool City Region Race Equality Hub.  The Hub, one of the first of its kind in the country, will focus on training, employment support and business assistance for people from Black, Asian, and Minority ethnicities, and also offer advice and training for non-minority led businesses looking to better recruit, retain, support and promote Black, Asian, and Minority ethnic staff.

To help design the hub, the CA are hosting a number of online workshops with different groups to explore and co-design the hub. They are looking to engage with:

– Entrepreneurs of minority ethnicities
– Business or organisation owners of minority ethnicities
– Minority ethnic employees
– Non-minority ethnic led business or organisations
– Individuals who are new/recent arrivals to the UK from minority ethnic backgrounds
– 16 to 25-year-old individuals of minority ethnicities
