Attend ONE or BOTH workshops to suit your business needs

Investsefton have teamed up with Moore & Smalley accountants to run a series of workshops to help businesses learn more about what R&D relief is available to businesses and to talk about ways to help you achieve profitable growth.

PART ONE: Tax Relief on Research & Development (09:30 – 10:30)

Many companies in the North West aren’t aware they can qualify for research & development (R&D) tax relief and are still missing out on the opportunity to significantly reduce their corporation tax bills or even missing out on refunds.

We have found that many companies are carrying out qualifying R&D as part of their existing commercial product development as a way to stay ahead of the competition. However, they are not claiming the full tax relief available, which in many cases is worth thousands of pounds.

During the course of the presentation R&D tax relief will be explained, outlining what can be claimed and what costs are eligible, and we will also provide a topical tax update for owner managed businesses.

BREAK/REFRESHMENTS (10:30 – 11:00)

PART TWO: How can you achieve growth? (11:00-12:00)

Growth is something which most businesses want to achieve, but there are many different strategies that can facilitate growth and help move a business forward.

During this session, Stephen Gregson, Corporate Finance Director at Moore and Smalley, will discuss what it means to achieve profitable growth.  He will focus on objectives, the different ways to achieve growth and whether you should consider growth as a strategy.

Q&A/NETWORKING (12:00 – 12:30)

Attending one of our events means you automatically qualify for a free business review from a nationally qualified business support specialist, providing advice and guidance to sustain and grow your business (SUBJECT TO ELIGIBILITY).

Priority is given to private sector SME’s who have been trading 1+day and are located within the Sefton Council Local Authority area.  Places may be limited to one delegate per organisation depending on demand.
