Health is one of the biggest and fastest-growing growing sectors in the world, with spend projected to reach. $8.7 trillion by 2020 globally. In the Liverpool City Region, over £3bn is spent on the delivery of health & care services and increasing levels of investment is being diverted towards technology enabled activity within the NHS.
This is creating unprecedented opportunities for city region businesses currently not working in healthcare, such as software developers and engineering firms to explore the opportunities of working with the NHS/wider care system, by adapting or “repurposing” products.
The Local Growth Hub, in association with sponsors, Hill Dickinson, is inviting businesses from across the Liverpool City Region to join them to find out how the Health Innovation Exchange can support SMEs to ‘repurpose’ for the health & care sector.
Speakers will include:
-
Andrew Rose, Sector Manager – Life Sciences and Health at Liverpool City Region LEP
-
Sarah Brooke, Head of Commercial Healthcare and Robert McGough, Partner at Hill Dickinson LLP
-
Mark Basnett, Managing Director at the Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership.
We will also have speakers from the SME community to discuss their journey into the health sector.
