The next Construction and Development breakfast will be hosted by Hill Dickinson LLP on Tuesday 17th May, 7.30 – 9.00am at No.1 St. Paul’s Square for the chance to hear an exclusive overview of construction contracts.
Tricia Morrison, Legal Director at Hill Dickinson, will look at the changes to The Construction Act and, in particular, the payment mechanisms needing to be in place for Construction Contracts – of relevance to anybody receiving or making payment in the construction industry, from Contractors through to Property Developers.
Amendments to the legislation came into effect in England on the 1st October 2011 and during the last six months a number of interesting and sometimes unexpected decisions have come from the Courts giving interpretation/flesh to the bones of this legislation.
