Mobile cervical screening service in Sefton

The Living Well bus will be present at large organisations around Sefton to offer mobile cervical screening to your staff.

In England, nearly 700 women a year still die from cervical cancer.  Cervical screening (also known as a smear test) is important to help prevent cervical cancer by checking for signs of changes in cells which could lead to cancer.

All eligible women and people with a cervix (aged 25-64) are invited to book appointments for screening at their GPs, however, many find it difficult to attend for a variety of reasons.  Having a mobile service can make it easier for people to access screening and may mean less time away from the workplace to attend a GP appointment.

Whilst on site the bus may also be accessed by anyone, so please feel free to promote the service to any students, visitors or those of neighbouring organisations if you have contacts there.
