12/04/2022- Enterprise Skills Hub are running more free workshops during May

The Enterprise Hub Skills at Liverpool John Moores University are running some free workshops for businesses.

Developing a Marketing Plan

Learn how to apply a simple model  that enables you to produce a marketing plan that meets the specific needs of your business.

This free face-to-face workshop will show you how to apply a tried and tested simple planning model, so that you can produce a marketing plan that meets the specific marketing needs of your business. The workshop is ideal for small businesses (including sole traders) who recognise the need for a plan and the benefits it can bring, but are not sure where to start given the overwhelming number of marketing channels that exist today.

The model stages include situation analysis, objectives, strategy, tactics, action and control and the workshop will take you through each stage of the model, giving you time and guidance to apply each stage to your business. You will leave the workshop with a planning framework that contains realistic, measurable goals that take account of your own business needs and resources.

The workshop will be led by Kat Geer, a marketing lecturer at LJMU. Kat used the planning model during her 14 years as a Marketing Manager in Higher Education, where she managed large-scale integrated marketing communications campaigns across a range of digital and traditional channels. Kat has practical and research expertise in the areas of digital strategy and planning, media production management and branding.
