We’ve  all been there: that moment of frustration when someone refuses to tell you something because of the Data Protection Act.

But how much do you really know about it?  Are they in their rights or over-reacting?  Does your company have a Data Protection Policy?  And even if it does, do your staff have the knowledge to help them interpret their roles and procedures in place to make sure they work effectively and legally?

Since April 2010 the information Commissioner’s office has had the power to fine organisations who breach the terms of the Act up to £500,000. Can you afford to stay unprotected?

This open seminar will give you everything you need to go away and consider your own and your organisation’s position on this vital area of the law.

Please note that this event has been organised by the Merseyside Business Support Programme, funded through European Regional Development Fund, and participation in the event will be counted as direct support to your business and will need to be included in any De Minimis Declaration under State Aid rules.

Priority for places on this event is given to small to medium sized private sector businesses (SME’s) based in the Sefton Council area that have been trading 1day+
