School for Social Entrepreneurs/Blackburne House

Details: ‘Start up’ Programme offers an award of £4000 and supports personal development and business skills development to help turn a project idea into reality. ‘Scale up’ Programme offers an award of £15,000 for established organisations looking to take it to the next level.

Who is eligible? Start up: Projects that have been establisged for less than 2 years and annual income less than £25,000. Scale up: Leaders of social enterprises that have been operating for more than 2 years and an annual income of at least £25,00 and have at least one member of staff.

Startup Direct

Startup Direct provides funding, mentoring and support as part of the government-backed Start Up Loans Scheme. Supporting people of all ages over 18, from idea stage to businesses trading for up to 2 years, Startup Direct provide low interest government-backed loans of up to £25k. If you are successful in your application for funding you also receive FREE: 12 months business mentor support, access to workshops and networking events and business discounts from over 30 providers.
