University of Liverpool Mock Interview Exercise – Company Participation

University of Liverpool

Each spring, the University of Liverpool’s Careers & Employability Team, embark on a mock interview exercise with a cohort of 1st year Management School students.  The mock interview forms part of a module supporting preparations for a year-in-industry that they will undertake following their 2nd year.
The mock interviews provide students with a very valuable opportunity to experience a core recruitment practice, but we also see the exercise as an opportunity for companies to raise their profile amongst our students and to engage with prospective future candidates, for graduate employment. The interviews are being scheduled on the following dates and we still have a number of time slots to fill, so would welcome company involvement for as little, or as much time as they would like to contribute:

Tuesday 19 March 10am –12pm, 3pm-5pm
Wednesday 20 March 9am – 1pm
Friday 22 March 10am – 12pm, 1pm – 5pm

We are recommending that as many interviews as possible, take place at company premises, for both the convenience of the companies, but to also to create a true ‘live interview’ situation for the students.
If you would like to get involved, then please email Paul Cullinan, Careers & Employability Team, University of Liverpool.
Please also feel free to extend this invitation to other members of staff, especially any that might be new to recruitment and would welcome developing their interviewing techniques.
