BUSINESS SUPPORT: SPECIAL INITIATIVES

If your business operates in a specific geographical area within Sefton or a particular business sector, Invest Sefton may be able to provide additional support to you. This support is available because of perceived opportunities or problems for which additional resources and funding have been made available by the local, regional or national government or the European Union. To find out if additional support might be available, contact the Invest Sefton team and tell us where you are and what sector you operate in. Business Village Partnerships - If you’re business is located in one of the six Business Village Partnership areas - Bootle, Crosby and Waterloo, Maghull, Formby, Birkdale and Southport – we can help address some of the key issues facing your business, especially if you operate in the retail trade. Build Sefton – Is a major initiative to ensure that businesses and people in Sefton can effectively trade with and work in the construction industry across Merseyside and beyond. Stepclever – For businesses located in the Linacre and Derby wards Stepclever has a variety of services that can help you and your business to develop, whether it be through expanding into new markets, introducing new products or services, or simply just to increase your market share. Business Neighbourhoods – Looks to provide additional advice and support to businesses located in particular wards in Sefton. For more information click here link opens in new browser window

Low Carbon – Working with key partners, Invest Sefton is looking to address how businesses can reduce their carbon ‘footprint’ and thereby become more efficient. We can help your business to engage with organisations who can look at the whole range of environmental issues facing any business, to help you to develop and implement a low carbon action plan. Rural Economy - In Sefton there are 75 farms, the largest group of which is horticultural. Half the farms in Sefton are less than 20 hectares. The rural economy is identified as being in need of very specific and specialist support and as part of a wider Merseyside initiative (Rural Economy Action Plan - REAP) a vision for the region's rural areas has been developed and opportunities identified for economic diversification, development and enterprise.
