Investsefton Business Support represents Sefton's wide ranging service provision to business. The delivery team has a broad spectrum of experience that enables a complete response to companies needs. This is delivered in partnership and acting as an 'honest broker' to provide the best solution for a companies requirements. Working in Partnerships involving the community, the local authorities, regional and national government and Merseyside's wide ranging support agencies the Business Support Team is giving people and business a real say on how the area should be best served.

South Sefton Partnership Gateway to Growth - For businesses investing in plant, machinery and equipment
. up to £5k Start up
. up to £20k expansion
. Improve Your Lot - For businesses adapting or extending their premises to operate more efficiently, securely and environmentally friendly (new build not included)
. up to £10k for Construction and environmental investments
. up to £2.5k for security investments

DTI - Selective Finance for Investment
. Minimum of £10k, maximum of 35% (10 - 15% in most other parts of England)
. Can include larger business as well as SMEs

Learning and Skills Council
. Skillworks - 60% funding for training for SMEs

Business Link GME
. 40% funding for consultancy for SMEs

The Employer Liaison Team will help employers to fill their vacancies with local people by offering a highly flexible package of recruitment services. Working in partnership with Jobcentre Plus, Reed in Partnership, the Opportunity Shop and Connexions to offer employers a very effective, co-ordinated approach to meet your specific requirements. Vacancies are also distributed throughout community organisations and by doing so; your vacancies reach the widest pool of candidates.
